Eastbrookend Country Park Tea Room Limited selected for Barking & Dagenham entrepreneur programme
We're delighted that Eastbrookend Country Park Tea Room Limited, working alongside Rootino CIC, has been selected for one of the places on Barking & Dagenham Giving's entrepreneur programme.
The programme will give us access to mentoring, business support and expert guidance as we continue developing the Tea Room into a sustainable, community-focused venue, while expanding the wider social impact work delivered through Rootino.
Our vision for Eastbrookend Country Park Tea Room is for it to be much more than somewhere to stop for coffee and cake. We want it to be a welcoming community space where people can meet, learn, volunteer, build confidence and develop practical skills.
Working alongside Rootino, we'll continue growing the Tea Room's community offer through food, growing, creativity, wellbeing, volunteering and supported work experience, including opportunities for young people and adults with additional needs.
Being selected for the entrepreneur programme gives us the opportunity to strengthen the business behind the Tea Room while continuing to develop its role within the local community.
Alongside support from The National Lottery Community Fund, this will help us test new ideas, build stronger partnerships and create a more sustainable long-term future for both the Tea Room and the community projects taking place there.
